Tim Gooding has written for film, television and stage. He is also a musician and composer.
Tim’s television credits include: IN YOUR DREAMS, PENELOPE K BY THE WAY, MORTIFIED, CJ THE DJ, ALL SAINTS, STINGERS, BLUE HEELERS, WATER RATS, HEARTBREAK HIGH, and the ABC TV Series SWEET AND SOUR which he created and co-wrote. Writing comedy sketches for the legendary AUNTY JACK SHOW was his first professional credit
His feature film credits include HEATWAVE and ON THE LOOSE.
In 2004, he translated and adapted Moliere’s THE MISER for the Sydney Theatre Company production, directed by Jean-Pierre Mignon. Tim’s work on MORTIFIED has been honoured as the Winner of Best Live-Action Television Program at the Chicago International 2006 Children’s Film Festival and as a finalist at the Banff World Television Awards for Best Children’s Program.
Tim founded the band XL CAPRIS, best known for the cult classic “My City Of Sydney”. This rare single was the only Australian disc found in legendary UK DJ John Peel’s “battered wooden box” of 142 favourite records when, following Peel’s death in 2004, the contents of the box were revealed in a Channel 4 television special.
