Specialising in film and television design, Vanessa has built a reputation for excellence across a diversity of genres.
Most recently, Vanessa designed BRING HER BACK by horror directors Danny and Michael Philippou, starring Sally Hawkins, produced by Causeway Films.
Vanessa’s latest film design credits include ADDITION, a dramedy directed by Marcelle Lunam and produced by Made Up Stories Productions, set for release in 2025. FORCE OF NATURE, a crime mystery with esteemed Australian director/producer Robert Connolly, starring Eric Bana, produced by Arena Films and Made Up Stories Productions. In 2023, Vanessa designed RUN RABBIT RUN, a psychological horror with acclaimed Australian director Daina Reid, starring Sarah Snook, produced by Carver Films and XYZ Films.
Earlier in her career, Vanessa distinguished herself as an award-winning set decorator, working alongside some of Australia’s leading designers and renowned international designers on numerous film and television productions. Her notable projects include FOE in collaboration with Patrice Vermette for See-Saw Films and Anonymous Content, THE LEFTOVERS with John Paino for HBO, SHANTARAM with Mark Digby and Michelle Day for Apple TV, RELIC and PARTISAN with Steven Jones-Evans for Carver Films, and PREDESTINATION and WINCHESTER with Matthew Putland for Sony Pictures and CBS Films.
