Laura’s passion for music theatre has led her to the forefront of composing new Australian work.
Her latest work ZOMBIE! THE MUSICAL, in which she wrote the book, music and lyrics premiered at the Hayes Theatre in 2024 to great critical and commercial success.
Laura is also the composer and lyricist for the critically acclaimed new original musical THE DISMISSAL. She completed the co-orchestrations and arrangements for the project which had a return season at the Seymour Centre in Sydney in 2023.
In 2022, Laura’s original musical THE LOVERS made its world premiere at the Sydney Opera House. THE LOVERS was a pop-infused reimagining of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream starring Natalie Abbott (AFTERTASTE) and Stella Perry (X FACTOR, ROCKY HORROR)
Laura began composing in 2009, writing the music and lyrics for William and Sparkles’ Magical Tales with Ambience Entertainment on the Nine Network. She then went onto compose and write the spin-off series Magical Tales: Surprises which was broadcast on 9GO!. Laura also composed and wrote the lyrics for television programs Imagination Train and I Am Me (9GO!).
Laura is currently developing a number of her own projects, including a national tour of ZOMBIE! THE MUSICAL.
